With
a background in both graphic design and fine art, I trained in interior
design at UCLA, serving my initial apprenticeship as designer and space
planner for two dynamic Los Angeles area architectural firms. During
this time, while also studying painting with a renowned color theorist,
I became interested in sacred art and architecture, and the power of
color, form, and sound. This interest has brought a unique perspective
to interior design projects ranging from Buddhist temples and retreat
centers to traditional medical suites, corporate offices and
restaurants in a career that has included both commercial and
residential design since 1980.
In addition to various interior design projects, my recent experience includes full-time graphic design, copy writing and marketing coordination for a prominent Northern California Realtor renowned for his marketing zeal. Additionally, I have experience in facilities planning and management and in event planning and promotion. I also enjoy the great satisfaction of pursuing my interests as a fine artist and have mounted three one-woman exhibitions of original art and prints. |
